This was a beautiful, tranquil Summer's Morning walk in a nearby Nature Preserve. I did not know this scene existed, until while walking along a nature trail, I could hear the sound of the water cascading over the rocks. I intentionally used a slow shutter speed to give the flowing water a smooth, silky look.
Then, in post production, the scene reminded me very much of a painting, rather than just a photograph, and so I added the effect to enhance the feeling.

Despite the tranquility of the scene, what I remember most was how oppressively hot and windless it was that day. There were so many bugs flying around I almost abandoned taking the photograph. When I finally got to review the image on my computer, I'm glad I stuck it out.

Well, its that time of year again. Some love the Fall colors, others embrace the cool temperature. Regardless of your feelings, it is a great time for some interesting photographs.

Not exactly a full blown waterfall, but technically, there is water flowing over some rocks. 

That must count for something.

It is amazing what you will see if you just take your time, slow down and enjoy the views when driving country roads.
